Northern Rare Earth (China Northern Rare Earth Group High-Tech Co., Ltd.), the world’s largest rare earth enterprise, held its fourth seminar for independent directors on November 18 in Baotou, bringing together senior leadership and technical managers from across its national operations. On-site attendees included company leadership, department heads, C-level managers, and personnel ranked level three and above in technical and business tracks. Subsidiaries outside Baotou joined remotely.

The seminar featured Yang Wenhao, Independent Director of Northern Rare Earth and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the China Rare Earth Industry Association, delivering a keynote titled “Thoughts and Insights on Rare Earth Industry Development During the 15th Five-Year Plan.” Yang presented an in-depth analysis of China’s evolving industrial pattern, overseas supply-chain construction, and the ongoing transformation of national rare earth macro-management. His remarks addressed forward-looking strategy, key development priorities, and the policy direction expected to shape the sector through 2030.

Northern Rare Earth described the seminar as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen governance, align leadership with national strategic goals, and reinforce its position as the anchor of China’s rare earth industry during a period of accelerated consolidation and global competition.
