A major cross-disciplinary conference on rare earth optoelectronics and rare earth catalysis opened on January 17 in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Provinceโunderscoring Chinaโs accelerating effort to translate rare earth science into commercially and strategically relevant technologies.
The event, titled Conference on Cross-Disciplinary Technologies and Applications in Rare Earth Optoelectronics and Rare Earth Catalysis, was jointly organized by China Rare Earth Group, the Chinese Society for Optical Engineering, the Ganjian Innovation Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. Nearly 300 participants, including senior academicians, early-career researchers, and industry executives from across Chinaโs rare earth ecosystem, attended.
