About Firepoint Energy
Firepoint Energy, Inc. is an early-stage Pennsylvania-based energy and critical minerals company founded in 2024 that aims to recover rare earth elements and other critical minerals from waste coal while converting that waste into synthetic fuels and clean energy. Using plasma gasification technology, Firepoint plans to extract rare earths and critical minerals including cerium, neodymium, lanthanum, cobalt, nickel, lithium, manganese and aluminum, while producing synthetic jet fuel, sustainable aviation fuel, electricity and green hydrogen. The company has acquired rights to a flagship site at the former Tunnelton Mining property near Saltsburg in western Pennsylvania, which testing indicates holds strong concentrations of rare earth minerals, aluminum and lithium. Firepoint addresses U.S. supply-chain security by tapping legacy coal-waste deposits in Appalachia. The company has pursued public-market access through a planned reverse merger with XcelPlus International (OTC:XLPI) and has raised early funding via a Wefunder campaign.
