Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd is a privately held Australian company with its corporate headquarters at HPPL House, 28-42 Ventnor Avenue, West Perth. Fastmarkets describes it as owned by Gina Rinehart. In rare earths it is an investor, not a producer. In a Schedule 13G amendment filed with the U.S. SEC in November 2024, Hancock and Rinehart reported owning 8.5% of MP Materials, and Hancock’s 13F filing lists 14,861,212 MP shares at June 30, 2026. A May 2026 Schedule 13G reported a 6.26% stake in Rare Earths Americas, Inc. The West Australian reported in May 2026, in an article republished on Hancock’s website, that Hancock was putting A$85 million into an Arafura Rare Earths placement, lifting its holding from 15.5% to 17.5%.
