About Barkly Rare Earths
Barkly Rare Earths Limited (ASX: BAK) is an Australian rare-earth and critical-minerals exploration company headquartered in West Perth, Western Australia. Formerly Transition Minerals Ltd, it was renamed in 2025 and listed on the ASX in January 2026 following an oversubscribed A$8 million IPO. Its flagship 100%-owned Barkly Project, located about 350 kilometres northeast of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, covers roughly 5,030 km2 and hosts an initial inferred mineral resource of about 40 million tonnes grading 2,100 ppm total rare earth oxides (TREO), prospective for neodymium and praseodymium used in permanent magnets.
In 2025-26 Barkly mobilised a 10,000-metre drilling campaign to grow the resource and test a 20-kilometre corridor between known deposits, supported by Northern Territory Government co-funding grants. The company also holds the Buntine base-metals project in the western Northern Territory.
