About Jinlong Rare Earth New Materials (Baotou)
Jinlong Rare Earth New Materials (Baotou) Co., Ltd. is a Chinese rare-earth permanent-magnet manufacturer based in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, the heart of China’s rare-earth industry. The company produces high-performance sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnetic materials for high-end wind-power generation, energy-saving home appliances and new-energy vehicles. In 2025 Jinlong put the first phase of its project into operation, a 5,000-tonne-per-year NdFeB production line, with total planned investment of about 2 billion yuan across roughly 13 hectares; a subsequent 15,000-tonne line is targeted for completion by the end of 2027, lifting projected annual output value toward 4 billion yuan. Located within the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Zone, the company benefits from the region’s designation as China’s largest rare-earth new-material base and forms part of the country’s tightening rare-earth-to-magnet downstream value chain.
Its Chinese name is 金龙稀土新材料(包头)有限公司. It is Fujian Golden Dragon Rare-Earth’s own magnet unit; Fujian Golden Dragon is about 65.2% owned by Xiamen Tungsten. It is a different company from Northern Jinlong (Baotou) Rare Earth (北方金龙(包头)稀土有限公司), a 51/49 China Northern Rare Earth and Golden Dragon joint venture that is building a rare earth oxide separation line in Baotou.
