Krakatoa Resources Limited is an Australian critical-minerals explorer listed on the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker KTA, focused on clay-hosted rare earth elements in Western Australia. Headquartered in Perth, the company’s flagship is the 100%-owned Mt Clere Project on the north-western margins of the Yilgarn Craton, where the Tower prospect hosts one of the larger clay-hosted REE discoveries in the southern hemisphere. Discovered in 2021, the Tower deposit carries a JORC-compliant maiden mineral resource of approximately 101 million tonnes at around 800-840 ppm total rare earth oxide (TREO), with flat-lying, near-surface mineralisation averaging about 16.7 metres thick. Metallurgical testwork has delivered recoveries of up to 64% neodymium and 61% praseodymium using simple extraction techniques, supporting a potential production pathway. In late 2025 Krakatoa lodged applications for two additional exploration licences expected to extend the Tower system more than nine kilometres eastward, and its forward focus centres on advancing the Tower REE deposit.
