The clay- and regolith-hosted deposit carries an inferred resource of roughly 122.5 million tonnes at 889 ppm TREO, containing approximately 108,954 tonnes of total rare earth oxides, including around 44,610 tonnes of heavy rare earth oxides at a premium 41% HREO ratio with notable dysprosium and terbium used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles and wind turbines. The Grass Patch Complex also colocates heavy rare earths with scandium and gallium. Metallurgical testing has reported heavy rare earth recoveries of up to 86.5% using conventional hydrochloric acid leaching.
