About OCP Group
OCP Group (Office Cherifien des Phosphates) is a state-owned Moroccan enterprise headquartered in Casablanca and a producer of phosphate rock, phosphoric acid and phosphate-based fertilizers. OCP was founded in 1920. USGS puts Morocco’s phosphate rock reserves at 50 billion metric tons of a world total of 73 billion (Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026). OCP operates an integrated value chain from mining sites at Khouribga, Youssoufia, Benguerir and Boucraa (Western Sahara) through processing hubs at Jorf Lasfar and Safi. Within the critical-minerals supply chain, OCP’s phosphate is foundational to LFP (lithium-iron-phosphate) battery cathodes and to fertilizers underpinning global food security. OCP says its phosphate rock also carries fluorine, rare earths and vanadium that could be recovered along its value chain.
