About Saga Rare Earths Holding AS (formerly REE Minerals Holding AS)
Saga Rare Earths Holding AS, formerly REE Minerals Holding AS, is a privately held Norwegian company developing rare earth rights in the Fen field, part of the Fen carbonatite complex in Nome municipality, Telemark, which Saga places 119 kilometers southwest of Oslo. The Norwegian business register records the holding company’s change of name in July 2026; its project company, Saga Rare Earths AS (formerly REE Minerals AS), took its new name in August 2025. Saga and Rare Earths Norway are the two rights holders at Fen. The company focuses on neodymium and praseodymium, used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles, renewable energy and defense. At Nome municipality’s request, the Norwegian government has confirmed it will prepare a state zoning plan for Fen; once a plan is adopted, rights holders can apply for an operating license.
