About San Huan
San Huan (Beijing Zhong Ke San Huan High-Tech Co., Ltd.) is a leading Chinese rare earth permanent magnet manufacturer headquartered in Beijing and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (ticker 000970). One of the world’s largest producers of sintered and bonded neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets, the company supplies high-performance rare earth magnets for electric vehicles, wind turbines, consumer electronics, industrial motors and aerospace, alongside soft ferrites and related materials. Its key production subsidiary, Tianjin Sanhuan Lucky New Materials, has annual NdFeB capacity exceeding 12,000 tonnes. Founded in connection with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, San Huan has a notable history in the global magnet industry, having co-acquired Magnequench from General Motors in the 1990s. In 2026 the company has highlighted progress on high-performance magnets that reduce reliance on heavy rare earths such as dysprosium and terbium, reinforcing its central role in China’s rare earth magnet supply chain.
