About North-West Phosphorous Company JSC (PJSC Acron)
North-Western Phosphorous Company (NWPC), known in Russian as Severo-Zapadnaya Fosfornaya Kompaniya, is a phosphate-mining subsidiary of Russian fertilizer producer Acron Group (MCX: AKRN), headquartered in the Murmansk region of Russia. Established by Acron in 2005 to secure an independent phosphate raw-material base, NWPC operates the Oleniy Ruchey mining and processing complex on the Kola Peninsula, extracting apatite-nepheline ore from open-pit and underground mines to produce high-quality apatite concentrate of at least 39% P2O5, with capacity around 1.6 million tonnes per year. The apatite-nepheline deposits it exploits are recognized hosts of rare earth elements, and Russian apatite processing is a documented potential source of cerium, lanthanum, neodymium and other REEs as fertilizer byproducts. NWPC supplies phosphate feedstock to Acron’s complex-fertilizer plants and third parties, anchoring the group’s vertically integrated NPK and phosphate fertilizer business.
