Toyota Tsusho Corporation is a publicly traded Japanese general trading company (sogo shosha) within the Toyota Group, headquartered in Nagoya, and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under ticker 8015. The company trades and distributes metals, minerals, chemicals and raw materials across a circular-economy, supply-chain, mobility and green-infrastructure portfolio, and is an active participant in securing critical-minerals and rare-earth supply for Japanese industry. Toyota Tsusho supports rare-earth sourcing, recycling and processing that feed the neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets used in electric-vehicle motors and other applications. In June 2026 Toyota Tsusho established TJ Namibia Rare Earths Corporation to develop the Lofdal heavy rare earth project in Namibia with JOGMEC, which decided to invest up to C$47.668 million in it; a definitive feasibility study is under way.
