About Apatit JSC (PhosAgro PJSC)
Apatit JSC is the principal mining and production subsidiary of PhosAgro PJSC (MCX: PHOR), a vertically integrated Russian fertilizer and phosphate group headquartered in Moscow, Russia. Apatit operates in the Murmansk Region’s Khibiny massif, where it mines apatite-nepheline ore and is the world’s largest producer of high-grade phosphate rock.
PhosAgro is Europe’s largest producer of phosphate-based fertilizers and the world’s second-largest producer of MAP and DAP. The apatite ore processed by Apatit contains significant rare earth elements, and PhosAgro has developed technology to recover rare earth concentrates as a by-product of phosphoric acid and fertilizer production, positioning the group as a potential source of light rare earths such as lanthanum, cerium, neodymium and praseodymium. Listed on the Moscow Exchange with global depositary receipts historically traded in London, PhosAgro produces phosphate rock, nitrogen and complex fertilizers along with feed phosphates and industrial chemicals.
