Frontier Rare Earths Ltd.

Frontier Rare Earths Limited is a private rare earth development company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands and headquartered in Luxembourg. Listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange from 2010 to 2015, Frontier says it is now controlled by management and EU-based related parties. Its project is Zandkopsdrift in South Africa’s Northern Cape Province, which Frontier says is fully permitted, with proven and probable reserves for a mine life of more than 45 years. At full capacity it plans to produce about 17,000 metric tons a year of rare earth oxides, including 4,000 metric tons of magnet rare earths, plus 100,000 metric tons of battery-grade manganese sulfate. In June 2025 the EU designated Zandkopsdrift a Strategic Project under the Critical Raw Materials Act. In February 2026 Frontier signed technology supply and offtake agreements with Carester. Frontier targets first production in 2029/30.
