About POSCO International
POSCO International Corporation is a South Korean trading and resources conglomerate headquartered in Songdo, Incheon, and a member of the POSCO Group, listed on the Korea Exchange (KRX: 047050). Within critical minerals, the company is building a non-China rare earth and permanent magnet value chain spanning mining, separation and refining, and NdFeB magnet manufacturing for electric vehicles, wind turbines, robotics, defense, and AI data centers. POSCO International produces traction-motor cores and sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets containing neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium. On May 21, 2026 it signed an agreement with ReElement Technologies to form a U.S. rare-earth separation joint venture, with a planned US$200 million investment and targeted capacity of 3,000 then 6,000 metric tons a year, following a memorandum of understanding in September 2025. A 2023 plan for a U.S. magnet plant with Star Group Industrial was not shown to have proceeded. The company has signed long-term magnet supply contracts with North American and European automakers.
