SOQUEM

SOQUEM is a Quebec-based mineral exploration company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Investissement Quebec, the provincial government’s investment arm, headquartered in Quebec, Canada. For more than 60 years SOQUEM has explored, discovered and developed mineral resources across the province, participating in hundreds of projects spanning gold, diamonds, lithium and rare earth elements. In the critical-minerals space, SOQUEM is a partner in the Kwyjibo polymetallic-rare-earth project, an iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) system in Quebec enriched in neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, terbium and yttrium, for which a positive preliminary economic assessment was completed. SOQUEM also pursues rare-earth and lithium targets through strategic alliances, including a long-running partnership with Azimut Exploration on properties such as Galinee in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region. As a state-owned explorer, SOQUEM advances early-stage discoveries and de-risks projects to attract private mining partners.
