Tanbreez Mining

Tanbreez Mining is the developer of the Tanbreez rare-earth project at Kringlerne (Killavaat Alannguat) in southern Greenland. Hosted in eudialyte-bearing rock, the deposit also contains zirconium and niobium; its majority owner reports heavy rare earth oxides at about 27% of total rare earth oxides. The project holds a 30-year exploitation license granted in 2020. Originally controlled by Australian-incorporated Rimbal Pty Ltd under geologist Gregory Barnes, the asset is now majority-owned by Nasdaq-listed Critical Metals Corp, which obtained Greenland government approval to take a controlling stake of approximately 92.5%. Tanbreez is advancing toward production with mining and closure planning underway, and is a potential source of heavy rare earths such as dysprosium, terbium and yttrium used in magnets, defense and clean-energy applications.
