About Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK)
Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMK) is a joint-stock company established in 2024 under an initiative led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It describes itself as Uzbekistan’s central enterprise for the development and processing of critical raw materials. Headquartered in Chirchik, Tashkent region, Uzbekistan, it lists tungsten, molybdenum and rhenium among its products. According to the presidency, TMK’s activities are currently focused mainly on tungsten and molybdenum, with opportunities to establish industrial production of 28 types of critical minerals through new deposits, enrichment plants and hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical factories. In June 2026 the presidency reported a 2026–2030 plan of 120 projects worth $4.2 billion. In October 2024 TMK’s website reported a rare-metals partnership with South Korea.
