About Australian Strategic Materials
Australian Strategic Materials Limited (ASX: ASM) is a West Perth, Australia-based rare-earth and critical-minerals company pursuing an integrated “mine-to-metal” strategy. Its flagship Dubbo Project in central-western New South Wales is a long-life deposit hosting rare earth elements, zirconium, niobium and hafnium, while its Korean Metals Plant in Ochang, South Korea, produces neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) metals and alloys used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles, wind turbines and defence applications. ASM’s vertically integrated model aims to supply rare-earth metals and alloys to manufacturers seeking ex-China supply chains.
In January 2026, US producer Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE: UUUU) agreed to acquire ASM in a scheme of arrangement valued at roughly AU$447 million (about US$299 million), creating a combined uranium and rare-earth champion, with implementation expected in mid-2026.
Australian Strategic Materials became a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Fuels Inc. when the schemes were implemented on August 28, 2026, and its securities were removed from the ASX at the close of trading on August 31, 2026. Its office is at Level 3, 46 Colin Street, West Perth.
