About Cyclic Materials
Cyclic Materials is a privately held advanced rare-earth recycling company headquartered in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, focused on creating a circular supply chain for the rare-earth elements used in permanent magnets. Using its proprietary MagCycle and REEPure technologies, the company recovers neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium from end-of-life products such as electric-vehicle motors, wind turbines, MRI machines and data-centre hardware, plus magnet manufacturing scrap.
Cyclic operates a hub-and-spoke model, with regional spoke facilities concentrating magnet-rich feedstock and a central hub producing recycled mixed rare-earth oxide. In 2025 the company announced a US$25 million investment to establish a 140,000-square-foot Centre of Excellence in Kingston, North America’s first dedicated rare-earth recycling commercial hub, expected to begin operations in 2026. Backers include Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund and Amazon’s Climate Pledge Fund, supporting resilient Western rare-earth supply.
