About Arafura Rare Earths
Arafura Rare Earths Limited (ASX: ARU) is an Australian rare earths exploration and development company headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, focused on becoming a vertically integrated producer of neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) oxide. The company’s flagship asset is the wholly owned Nolans project in the Northern Territory, a combined rare earths-phosphate-uranium-thorium deposit.
Nolans is designed to be Australia’s first mine-to-oxide integrated rare earths complex, producing separated NdPr oxide along with mixed middle and heavy rare earths. When in full production, the project is expected to supply up to 10% of global NdPr demand, the key magnet feedstock for electric vehicle motors, wind turbines and defense systems. Arafura has secured a mix of equity and debt financing and offtake contracts covering approximately 80% of planned output, with construction targeted to commence and first production anticipated around 2029. The company is backed by strategic government and customer support amid efforts to diversify rare earth supply away from China.
