GRINM Group Co., Ltd. (formerly the China General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals), founded in 1952 and headquartered in Beijing, is a large Chinese state-owned research, development and high-tech incubation enterprise specializing in nonferrous and rare metals. It conducts R&D across rare earth materials, semiconductor and electronic materials, energy and environmental functional materials, mineral processing and metallurgy, and advanced materials testing, and hosts national-level engineering centres including the National Engineering Research Center for Rare Earth Materials. GRINM is the principal sponsor of its listed subsidiary Grirem Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., which spans an integrated rare-earth chain from raw materials to functional products such as phosphors, polishing powders, hydrogen-storage alloys and magnetic materials using elements including neodymium, praseodymium, cerium, lanthanum, dysprosium and terbium. With more than 400 developed technologies and hundreds of patents, GRINM is a foundational research pillar of China’s rare-earth and nonferrous-metals industry.
