About Northern Minerals
Northern Minerals Limited (ASX: NTU) is an Australian heavy rare earths developer headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, advancing the Browns Range Heavy Rare Earths Project in the East Kimberley region near the Northern Territory border. Browns Range is considered one of the world’s most advanced heavy-rare-earth projects, targeting production of dysprosium and terbium from xenotime-hosted mineralization; its flagship Wolverine deposit is regarded as Australia’s highest-grade dysprosium and terbium orebody. The company holds a binding conditional agreement to supply about 65% of planned dysprosium, terbium and yttrium-rich concentrate to Iluka Resources’ Eneabba refinery. Northern Minerals is targeting a final investment decision by September 2026 and first production around 2028-2029, supported by letters of intent from the U.S. Export-Import Bank and Export Finance Australia. As of mid-2026 it remained a micro-cap explorer-developer, positioned as a non-Chinese source of the heavy rare earths critical to high-performance permanent magnets.
