About Iluka Resources
Iluka Resources (ASX: ILU) is an Australian mineral sands and rare earths company headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, and the world’s largest producer of zircon as well as a leading supplier of titanium dioxide feedstocks including rutile and synthetic rutile. The company mines and processes heavy mineral sands across operations in Australia and is advancing the Balranald project in New South Wales.
Iluka is building the Eneabba rare earths refinery in Western Australia, backed by an AUD 1.65 billion non-recourse Australian Government loan and targeted for commissioning around 2027. Eneabba is set to become Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery and one of the few facilities outside China capable of producing separated oxides of both light and heavy rare earth elements, including neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium. The refinery, fed in part from a strategic monazite stockpile, anchors Iluka’s strategy to establish an independent ex-China rare earths supply chain.
