About Southern Alliance Mining
Southern Alliance Mining Ltd is a diversified exploration and mining company headquartered in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia, and listed on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) under ticker QNS. The company first developed the Chaah iron ore mine in Johor and has since diversified into rare earth elements and gold. Through its 40%-owned joint operation MCRE Resources, it has an interest in the Gerik Mine in Perak, which produces ionic-clay-hosted rare earths including neodymium and praseodymium. Work-suspension orders issued to MCRE by the Minerals and Geoscience Department and the Department of Environment were lifted on January 15, 2026, and MCRE resumed operations.
