About Lynas Rare Earths
Lynas Rare Earths Ltd is an Australian rare earths mining and processing company headquartered in Perth and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: LYC). It is the largest producer of separated rare earth materials outside China and the world’s second-largest NdPr producer. Lynas mines its flagship Mount Weld deposit in Western Australia, one of the highest-grade rare earth orebodies globally, with concentrate processed at its Kalgoorlie facility and its advanced materials plant in Kuantan, Malaysia. The company produces neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) oxide for permanent magnets and, in 2025, became the first commercial producer of separated heavy rare earths dysprosium and terbium outside China. Lynas is expanding its Malaysian heavy rare earths facility with samarium production starting in 2026 and is building a US rare earths processing plant in Seadrift, Texas, supported by approximately US$258 million from the US Department of Defense. Lynas supplies critical magnet materials for EVs, wind turbines and defense.
